Media Art Exposition of
C3
"C3, or young creation"
20 June - 2 September 2001
Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Paris

within the frame of the Hungarian season,
Magyart, 2001: The Year of Hungarian Culture in France

This exposition, realised by the collaboration of C3: Center for Culture & Communication Budapest and la Maison Européenne de la Photographie, Paris, presents artworks whose common element is the artistic application of new media, but nevertheless, each is unique, realised in a completely different way. Gábor Gyõrfi's illuminated statue reacts to the presence of visitors moving in the exhibition space by way of sensors, whilst in the virtual space of Promenade, a new, three-dimensional interface measures the changing position of the viewer, and the projected images are modified on the basis of these data. Róbert Langh's installation is static and closed within itself, while Orsolya Nyitrai's work utilises the open communicational form of the Internet. Throughout the course of the exhibition, there will be a regular presentation of selected video works produced at the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts.

Exhibited works:

Gábor Gyõrfi:
Live Images Thalli I-II

Róbert Langh:

Orsolya Nyitrai:

         Ai Suki

Zoltán Szegedy-Maszák - Márton Fernezelyi :
